 Gods and Monsters, a free Twin Cities book group, open to all who’ve read the book, meets monthly (usually the last Sunday of the month at 4 p.m.) at Eastside Food Coop’s Granite Studio, 2551 Central Ave. NE, to discuss books with themes of myth and religion. Upcoming discussions: April 28: Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller Jr.; May: Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali; June: Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis; July: Buddha by Karen Armstrong; August: Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky; September: Kindred by Octavia Butler; October: Blasphemy, short stories by Sherman Alexie; and November: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
